Character background: Mene was born in Brentwood, UK to her muggle parents, and sister Maisie. Two years after her birth, yet another muggle girl (Evanne) was born. Mene is often stubborn, but manages (somehow) to be a great friend. She worked hard in the private school she attended but, made few friends. Most of them stayed away from her due to inexplainable mishaps that seemed to follow her around.
The letter explaining her magical background had been welcomed to scowls and cold-shoulders from her sisters. The jealousy showed, I mean really, really showed. Her parents however, were relieved now that they could be sure they're daughter wasn't some kind of aberration.
Every summer, she would spend her days away from her sisters, for they were even more unbearable now that she was supposedly "...always shoving those books under our noses. Bragging about her abnormality. I mean, like, what's up with the stupid owl? Seriously, like, God.". Her magical friends send her comforting letters. Telling her that if they say things like that again, they'll hex her. But Mene didn't want her relationship with her sisters to be damaged even more. Truth is, she did care about them, and it broke her heart to know her sisters despised her with every atom in their body.
