Hazel sipped her hot chocolate slowly, stirring it absentmindly with her finger. She just couldn't get the tournament off her mind. Now that she was almost free of her family and about to return to Hogwarts, tomorrow, she couldn't stop returning to it.

Even when she tried to distract herself with the thoughts of her classes, she always came back to the tournament. She wasn't entering, don't get her wrong, after all she was too young. And even if she was of age, the idea scared her. Battling creatures? Each other? It seemed as though instead of bonding the schools they were driving them even farther apart. It would be interesting to watch and she hoped a Ravenclaw entered but still...

She shuttered and looked outside the window, bored and unable to contain her excitement that Hogwarts was starting again.

Lizzie stepped into the Three Broomsticks, wondering if there would be anyone from school here. Her sister Lissa had gone into London for the day, but Lizzie had opted to come to Hogsmeade because she was rather fed up of London now. Her mother had apparated her here, and said she would collect her in a few hours time, which gave Lizzie plenty of time to shop and catch up with anyone she might see around Hogsmeade. It was exciting to think that she would be allowed to come down here some weekends now, being a third year! Although, she wasn't really sure how many weekend trips would be organised what with the Tournament being held... Still, they had to have some, didn't they? After all, not all students would be taking part in the Tournament. She knew her older sister, being a 6th year, was planning to put her name in the Goblet, and Lizzie really hoped her sister got selected. Even if Lissa wasn't chosen as Hogwarts' champion, though, neither Lizzie or Lissa would mind that much, as long as Hogwarts won the Triwizard Cup!

A grin spread across her face as she saw her friend Hazel at a table, and she decided she would order her drink later, choosing instead to go and see Hazel. She walked up quietly behind her, her eyes twinkling with mischief.
"Boo!" She laughed, putting a hand on each of her friend's shoulders.
