James Masters was born to Eric Masters and Nina Masters (née Sandström), on January 8th, 1991, in Stockholm, Sweden, where his British-born father lived with his Swedish mother. On his eleventh birthday, he was enrolled into Durmstrang, a school which he took an immediate liking to.
When he graduated, James spent the better part of his life traveling the world, returning to Durmstrang at age 30, where he signed up as Charms Professor. Two years ago, however, he was appointed Highmaster, and quit as Charms Professor, as he didn't want to deal with two jobs at once.
