Character likes: Annoying teachers with unnecessary comments through a class she hates, talking to Emerald; somehow convinced that she can understand her, making things go wrong with just a flick of her wand, spending time alone in the courtyard or the Slytherin common room (although she wouldn't say no to some company once in a while), astronomy, always had a soft spot for science.
Character dislikes: Being told what to do; whether it is by teachers or parents or other students, people that just happen to be way too cheerful for her liking, butterbeer, whenever somebody suggests doing something she hates while they know she hates it, smart comebacks from nerds, chilly.
Character background: Blair had been born in Hamilton but her family moved to Aberdeen right after; claiming they didn't want their little girl to grow up in a town as rubbish as that. However the real reason for moving was guilt (explained further down).
Blair had been born with unusual violet hair and dark blue eyes though hey have changed over the years to match her mother's. Growing up, she became quite fond of cats-seeing as her best friend had one and she would always go round to play with it-and when her parents got her Emerald she felt it was the closest to animal interaction she had ever gotten, as all other animals seemed to take a strong disliking to her. As a child, she was very nice and polite to everyone, making friends easily and being the 'cheerful kid next door' type, although during he second year at Hogwarts she fell in with the wrong crowd and instead turned to an easily annoyed sulky teenager with hopes of people just leaving her the hell alone.
The day she got her letter, her mum was totally shocked-having not known about what Hogwarts was at all-while her dad had to be the one to explain to both that it was a school of magic and that h was a wizard with now a wizard daughter. Taking this in, it was quite a while before her mum agreed to let her daughter go away for an entire school year with hopes of returning at Christmas at least, before she'd have to go back and leave them there once again.
It was later revealed to her (before her fifth year at Hogwarts, in the summer holidays while she was home with her parents) that the real reason that they had moved from Hamilton to Aberdeen and she hadn't had siblings growing up was because her twin brother Alastair had been stolen right from the hospital by some lady, and her mum had decided to not have anymore children in fear that it would happen again. If it was definite that Alastair wouldn't turn out a wizard and be sent to Hogwarts also, then they would have never revealed the truth to Blair. They felt compelled to do so though because of how she'd come home one summer to tell them about his she'd met a lookalike in school. Since then, brother and sister have been reunited though are doing their best to keep it all a secret from the other students and teachers.
