Blair stared. And stared and stared and stared. Yes, she very much knew that this was the most haunted place in Britain; or at least was supposed to be. But neither now nor as a child had the brunette believed in such a thing as ghosts and all that crap...well, of course, until she'd seen moving portraits and house ghosts around Hogwarts. At first, they had freaked her out but, if she did say so herself, she was starting to grow fond of most of them. Heck, some had even become close to friends with her. Like the bloody baron; he was one hell of a crazy ghost all right!

Letting the thoughts go through one ear, through her brain, then out the other, Blair reached out and slowly pushed the door to the Shrieking Shack open. The old wooden door made a creaking-like sound, and dust rose up from the floor and into the young girl's face, causing her to cough twice before wincing as some went into her eyes. Having Alastair around now would be a good thing; she'd just push him in and make him have all the dust he wanted, while she'd just later step over him and race to be the first one to see what was upstairs. But unfortunately he was with his 'family' somewhere for the summer, and she hadn't wanted to ruin his fun and extra quality time with his 'mum', 'dad' and 'little brother' just so that he would keep her company in this fine sunny day as she decided to go sneak a peak in this old, almost-falling-apart place.

But thoughts of her brother should have not been floating around in that head of hers, and instead she should have been focusing on where she was stepping, because the second she stepped into a pile of dead flies and ladybirds covering something she didn't even want to think about, she groaned lowly and stepped back, wiping her shoe on the worn-out carpet. Merlin's beard! How did she not see that!? It was literally right in front of her! Of course, some light would have helped...so she took out her wand and quietly murmured, 'lumos'.

The tip of her wand lit up brightly, allowing her to proceed into the darkness without stepping into anymore...that. Stepping around the dead flies and all that, the girl slowly made her way upstairs. There was nothing too interesting downstairs unless you counted the pile of poop she'd just stepped on. Thankfully there was a spell to get rid of it so she wouldn't have to walk around like that for the rest of the day.
