Character background: Born into a middle class family in Nice, France, Stella was unaware of the magical world until she was seven when her mother finally "spilled the beans" about her heritage. When her letter finally arrived when she was eleven, she promptly (and accidentally) lit it on fire. Needless to say, another letter was delivered within the hour. Her father, a landscaper, was unaware of his wife and daughter's abilities until the day she received her letter. He was surprised to say the least. After several attempts to wake himself up and mishap with a waffle iron, he was able to come to terms and even helped pay for her wand (until he realized Olivander's doesn't take credit card.)
Stella wasn't really well known during her first two years of school, since her airy personality often found her in the back of the class with her heads in the clouds (some students even found it rather amusing to conjure clouds above her head as she daydreamed. She never noticed.) Those who did notice her (besides for her general daydreamer characteristics) often noted how she moved. To put it bluntly, she is a klutz and graceful while tripping on flat surfaces. She has a tendency to move like a dancer, but with her lack of equilibrium she often finds herself spilling glasses of pumpkin juice, falling into people, and dropping papers.
Although she is a dreamer and often seems like she is never paying attention, she never fails to astound (and often piss off) people with her high marks and skills when it comes to spells, especially with Charms. When people ask her how she manages to get such good marks while not paying attention, she often replies with a smile and says "While you're paying more attention to me during lectures, I'm actually listening." (unless, of course, she wasn't paying attention to them in which she replies with "I'm sorry, what was that?") She is usually good in a quick fix and, even when it seems like she is not focused and off in la-la land, she is actually a sharp minded individual.
Sharp minded and sharp tongued. It takes a lot to make a person like Stella angry, however she has an incredible temper towards people she clashes with. Be forewarned, if you get on her bad side prepare to stay there. Stella has a bit of a problem with holding grudges. If you rub her the wrong way, she will quite politely tell you to fuck off.
Those who get on her good side however tend to be drawn towards her general sweet disposition and soft features, often describing her as a little sister or sometimes a mother. She tends to be lighthearted and does like to joke around, but sometimes her jokes fall flat, leaving her laughing by herself (not that she minds not notices.) She enjoys being around others and she almost always has a far-off look in her eyes and a smile.
